Lentil, Rice and Veggie Baby Food

Hayden is home from Europe and growing fast. We have come up with a quick and healthy baby food for her.

Make sure that you use the split red lentils, because they do not need to soak long and they are easier to digest.


2 Tbspn rice

2 Tbspn Red lentils

2 potato’s

2 carrots

1 handful spinach

1 cup water


Soak rice and lentils for 5-10 minutes. Rinse well.

Peel and dice potatoes and carrots

Rinse spinach

Bring 1 cup of water to a boil.

Add all Ingredients except for spinach. Simmer 25-30 minutes, adding spinach for the last 10 minutes. Purée with a hand blender inside the pot. Cool and package into containers to freeze. We used Kushies SiliTray from Babies R Us
