Once the cupboards were first cleaned out of gluten foods, we decided to make many meals from scratch. But…. there are always those days you are in a hurry or just want the familiar foods you used to eat. Now we are back to the basics. Proteins, fruits and vegetables. It’s all those one word foods like chicken, potatoes, cucumber, broccoli, tomatoes etc.
There is no cure for celiac disease, but if we eat the right foods by following a gluten free diet, the change in how we feel is dramatic. So we do take the foods that we eat so, so seriously and some do taste better than others. That is why we are sharing our favourite gluten free foods that really taste great.

Thank you for visiting our blog !! We would love to hear any feedback or some of your favourite gluten free brands !
The Only Oats Muffin mixes are very good as well and they have no preservatives in them. Add some dates and seeds and they are so very very good. Also the Gluten Free Bisquick biscuit mix is very good also with no preservatives. Add some sharp cheddar and again very very good.
Hi Donna, We have not tried the muffin mix but we just purchased the pancake mix today, still waiting to try it out. We have also tried the biquick mix with a lazy chicken pot pie casserole (recipe coming soon !). We will for sure try the biscuits with cheddar 🙂 Thanks for the recommendations !!!
Thanks for this. I look forward to trying some of these. Have you tried Little Nothern Bakehouse bread from Costco? It’s a new favorite over here.
Hi Rebekah, no we haven’t ! But we will be sure to try it out. Always looking for new brands to test out. Thanks for the feedback and recommendation !!!
Northern Bakehouse blows udi’s out of the water!
Hi! You’ve got to try o’doughs breads/muffins/bagels and also gogo quinoa makes a tonne of GF options from pasta, to pancake mix, quinoa flakes. and of course, regular quinoa.
Kinnikinnick brand pancake and waffle mix is delicious. No one would know they are gf and my kids prefer it to reg brands. Duinkerken brand mixes also great, especially their biscuits.
Canyon bakehouse bread is my favorite.
HOW do you get the wraps to wrap! I buy the same ones and find that they have to stay absolutely flat…any kind of bend/fold/roll and they crack and crumble into dust!
Hi Megan, same problem when I first bought them. But throw them in the microwave for 30 seconds or heat them up in a greased pan and they fold nicely. Otherwise yes they crack and beak in half !
Life changing! Thank you!!
